EndureAir focuses on designing developing and building autonomous VTOL Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs) for various military and customized applications. The goal of the company is to make best in class VTOL UAVs with high endurance, scalable and high payload capabilities. EndureAir is incubated at SIDBI Innovation & Incubation Centre (SIIC) Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur.
Dr. Abhishek, Associate Professor at IIT Kanpur is the Director and mentor of EndureAir, and has 15 years of experience in helicopter dynamics and designing. Together the team has more than five patents in VTOL technology and has authored more than 50 technical papers in reputed journals and conferences on the design and development of novel unmanned aerial vehicles.
We have already solved the issue of endurance with the vehicle capable of providing more than 2 hours of flight time that can carry a 3-10 kg payload and fly 75km round trip.

About the Team
Dr. Abhishek is an Associate Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur Research with over eight years of specialization in rotary wing aeromechanics, hover capable autonomous Unmanned Air Vehicles, multi-body dynamics, inverse flight dynamics, helicopter and innovative VTOL, air vehicle design, and wind turbines. He received his Masters of Science and Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park.
Dr. Mangal Kothari is an Associate Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur with experience in Flight Vehicle Guidance and Control, Optimal control, Nonlinear and Adaptive control, Motion planning and coordination of multiple UAVs. He did his Ph.D from University of Leicester while collaborating with Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) for a part of his doctoral research. He earlier worked as a scientist at National Aerospace Laboratories, Bangalore. He received his B.E. degree from University of Rajasthan and M.S. degree from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.
Ankur Duhoon is a Design Engineer for EndureAir with several years of experience in design and manufacturing a novel payload delivery mechanism for UAS, in addition to developing an IC engine powered variable pitch quadrotor at the Department of Aerospace Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur. His field of interest is in design and development of UAVs. He received a dual degree, Bachelors of Technology and Masters of Technology in Aerospace Engineer from IIT Kanpur.
Chirag Jain is a Controls and Simulation Engineer with a broad working knowledge of diverse fields including computer vision, guidance and control, hardware and software integration for unmanned aerial and underwater vehicles. He received his B.Tech. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Patna.
Rama Krishna is a structural designer and experimentalist with 3 yrs of experience in designing novel hybrid VTOL configurations. He has conducted multiple wind tunnel tests at NWTF, IIT Kanpur to enhance VTOL vehicle’ performance by optimizing various design parameters. He has significant expericence in fabricating several proof-of-concepts for hybrid VTOL UAVs using light weight composite materials. He received a dual degree, Bachelors of Technology and Masters of Technology in Aerospace Engineering from IIT Kanpur.
Rishi Bajpai has 4 years of experience as Rotary wing UAV Piloting and Electronics System Integration. He received his Bachelor’s in Electronics and Communication Engineering from UPTU Kanpur,India. He has worked on development of Autopilot hardware and Servo Actuator hardware.
